PMHS Publications |
The PMHS has published one book and now produces four issues of PM Tracks, the quarterly PMHS newsletter each year.
PM TracksPM Tracks is the PMHS's newsletter. It features items of historical interest related to the men, women, physical plant, motive power and rolling stock of the Pere Marquette, a modeling column, and recent prototype news from along the former PM lines. Members may run free classified ads in PM Tracks. It is currently published in January, April, August and November.
Pere Marquette Rails
Pere Marquette Rails was the semiannual PMHS historical magazine. It differed from PM Tracks in that it was designed for longer-form articles. Until 2006, Pere Marquette Rails was usually published in May and November.
An Open Call for Pere Marquette-Related ArticlesWe encourage everyone to submit materials for publication in our newsletter and magazine. If you think that you might have a story to tell about the PM, or have some piece of information about the PM that you find particularly interesting and would like to share it with our members, please e-mail for assistance.
As part of our mission to preserve the history of the Pere Marquette, the PMHS has members available who are willing to conduct interviews with anyone who has a PM-related story to tell or who has any other information they wish to share about the PM. Even if you are uncomfortable with writing an article, PLEASE contact us. We are willing to provide any assistance you feel that you need, with respect to the actual writing and preparation of articles for our publications. We can help make the process of your breaking into print on our pages virtually painless.
